Hotwire Hotel: Never Used hot Wire - Please Clarify!

Hi, I'm not understanding how people are getting 4 & 5 star level rooms at the prices they are getting them for (e.g. Planet Hollywood & The Mirage for less than 100)? When I go to the Hotwire site the options I'm interested in are the 4 star hotels but they're at $129 and 5 star hotels at $155? Am I missing something? Maybe I just need to continue to the next step, however, the next step seems to be the actual check out/purchase page? Help! =)

I think a lot depends on what day you are looking for (i.e. weekend vs. weeknight) or what time of year (high season for tourism vs. the shoulder)

Also, prices on Hotwire may change as you get further away from or closer to the date of travel

And i'd imagine that the rates you're seeing for 4* and 5* hotels are "deals" for your particular dates, whereas if you were staying midweek they would seem expensive.

What is your budget (per nite before fees and taxes) for this stay?
