I was a lot bummed this property accepted my bid, but that's the risk of Priceline. The hotel rates out at a 4* but a lot of people rate the rooms at a 2*. I'll report back with a review after the trip is over. I used the PRICELINE link for this site.

Sorry to hear your disappointed with the results.

If there is a hotel in the zone you're trying to avoid, HOTWIRE can often be a better solution as you can often identify the property beforehand based upon the amenities, or at least figure out what it's not (ie- if the hotel you're trying to avoid doesn't have a pool, you can 'safely' by any HOTWIRE offering with a Pool icon knowing that you won't receive that property :) )... it may cost a little more than PRICELINE, but at least you have a chance to avoid the hotel you're trying not to receive.
