Hotwire Hotel: 4* Ft Lauderdale (Hollywood Beach) Westin Diplomat

Hello;

I searched for a hotel in Hollywood Beach, and came up with this listing. It appears to me like it could be either the Crowne Plaza or Diplomat, although I was pretty shocked to get that rate for either. is there anyway of telling for sure in advance? I just would like to be somewhat sure of which hotel before I book. Resort, Near Beach, Fitness Centre, Pool, Restaurant, High Speed Internet, Golf Nearby.

when I click to book, and click on more amenities, it does not list anymore different then above.

Looks like either the Crowne Plaza or the Westin Diplomat (not The Diplomat Country Club & Spa) which show the same amenities. If you saw "Boutique" listed in there anywhere, it would more than likely be the Diplomat Country Club & Spa.

The property above doesn't match previous reports for any of the above properties... it could be one of those with a new amenity combination, although i'd also add the Marriott to the list of possibilities, or some other property i haven't considered.

thanks alot. I am ok with the Marriot also. I just do not want it to end up being the Ramada, or Hollywood Beach Resort. they are listed as 3* on other sites, but, I just want to make sure.

We can't see the name of the hotel either, so can't make any guarantees.

While i don't think i've ever seen a 4* rated Ramada, i'm not at all familiar with the other property you mentioned so can't speculate as to what it would be rated... all that is 'known' is found in the Hotwire Hotel List, which is also subject to change as hotel ratings, and amenities, can and do change between reported wins.

I did this search, and was a little surprised... this does not match anything on the list:

Resort, Fitness Centre, Pool, Restaurant, High Speed Internet, Golf Nearby

I clicked "See All Amenities" and it listed the same ones.

This does not seem to match any of the hotels at all listed on here. There is only 3 listed, and it does not match any of them.

Unfortunately, this hotel has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board. and no match is appearing on the vacation package side (nor is there is a tripadvisor rating listed on the detail page.) Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Hi all;

I have been watching Hotwire for a couple months now because I already had some rooms booked, and needed to add 1 more. My reservation is at the Westin Diplomat Resort. Finally, there is one that is close, but, it could be either the Westin Diplomat or Crowne Plaza. is there a way to differentiate the two?

Oct. 2nd - 5th

4* Hollywood Beach:

Listed amenities in order:

Resort, Near Beach, Non-Smoking, Fitness Centre, Pool, Restaurant, Business Centre, High Speed Internet

When you click continue, and click on "See All Amenities" it adds: Golf Nearby

4 out of 5, 380+ Reviews and last reviewed July 2009.

checking trip advisor, Westin Diplomat has 393 reviews, with one in august. None of the other hotels in Hollywood have over 300.

ok, so, now I have pretty much talked myself into the fact it is the Diplomat.

The only concern I have, is, I am sure the first time I booked, it had listed Golf Nearby on the first page, and now it is in the "See All Amenities" Section. thoughts?

As for the Phoenix trip, I ended up not making a reservation, as it turns out, my wife was pregnant, and we decided not to go.

This is a match for the Westin Diplomat. So that would be my best guess. The diffrent order on the amenities is noting to think about.
