Priceline Hotel: 4* St Catharines-Niagara (Niagara Falls) Sheraton on the Falls

I have been rebidding for weeks on Priceline (not Hotwire as this post suggests).

My dates are checking in Sunday July 5, and checking out July 7th.

I'd like a 4 star, willing to go to a 3.5 star if necessary.

Anything about these dates that are spiking up the rates?

Admittedly, I have been keeping my bidding relatively low (went as high as $82)

I see the board has fluctuated in recent weeks from $60-90 for a 4 star.

I currently have a b&b reserved in NOTL, and I really would like to cancel it in good time, so that the owner can rebook the room...but I obviously want something secured before I do that.

Do you feel that I am best to wait until the last minute?

My whole trip is planned and booked except for these dates, so I'm not exactly flexible on dates.
