AaronJB
Are you also seeing smoke-free? Additionally, I'm not familiar with the Cincinnati area, but do you need to be in the Covington area? I ask because there are (much) cheaper 4*'s in other Cincinnati areas for these dates. Link to comment
AaronJB
With the smoke-free, I'm guessing this may be the Marriott Rivercenter. Again though, if you don't have to be in this area, there's cheaper (by as much as $50+) options nearby. Please use the site's HOTWIRE link to start your purchase. Link to comment
valrober
Yup...smoke free!We thought it might be nice to stay in Covington to be able to see fireworks from across the river! Thanks for your help! I will check out other hotels as well! Link to comment
AaronJB
Let me check on an idea - be right back. Link to comment
AaronJB
The Radisson Riverfront in Covington is $149 for an upgraded riverview room on Expedia, plus if you use a Mastercard, you get $300 in various coupons to use for future Expedia.com stays. Not sure about the area or exactly where the fireworks are, but this would at least assure a river view. The hotels in this area all seem to have "river view" as a paid upgrade, which means a HOTWIRE or PRICELINE reservation wouldn't be eligible for it.Additionally, if you use coupon code 10JUN, you get $10 off = $139.Please use the site's Expedia.com link if you decide to go this route. :) Link to comment
AaronJB
A river view room at the Marriott would be $189-10=$179 on Expedia. You could also book an upgraded room for the first night (July 4th) at either hotel, then switch to a regular room or do a cheaper HOTWIRE reservation for the second night. Lots of options. Link to comment
valrober
Thanks Aaron! I really appreciate your research and ideas! I am looking into them! Sadly we don't have a MasterCard... Link to comment
valrober
Sorry I didn't follow up on this for everyone! Obviously I am a rookie here! The hotel we ended up staying in was the Embassy Suites in Covington. Nice location...great riverview of Cincy! Link to comment
thereuare
How did you book this... thru PRICELINE, HOTWIRE, the Embassy Suites website, or some other source? (if HOTWIRE please include the star rating, price, and amenities associated with this property, which you can still view by going to hotwire and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page)Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
