Taiko
If you look in the details of the hotel you can see the trip advisor ranking and the number of reviews. If you check the number of reviews on TA you can easily tell which hotel it is. Right now if it is based on 1640 reviews it is thw Wynn.Hope it helps. That's interesting. As a non Hotwire user I was considering them for my upcoming week in LV.PL is too sketchy, need more certainty.I checked the number of reviews against certain properties on Hotwire. They list TA review counts for some properties but not all.I wonder how accurate the count is and how often HW sweeps for a count update. The language on the HW site is a bit vague.'Last reviewed May 09' etc. I am trying to identify the Palazzo, Venetian or the MGM Signature. The only 5* Central Strip property currently on HW for my dates has 1820 reviews. Could this be the Venetian?5-star hotel in Central StripThis hotel features the following amenities:Casino (accessible from the lobby)Fitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet AccessGolf NearbyTennisSpa Services Link to comment
thereuare
The above is a match for the Venetian so that would be my best guess. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. alessandro
For what it is worth I also believe it is the Venetian. At my last check Wynn still has 1640 reviews on HOTWIRE. Cheers. Link to comment
Taiko
Thanks for your help on this topic so far. I am a little leery of using HOTWIRE as my requirements on this trip are unusually stringent.I'll update and conclude this thread later. Link to comment
WillardWhyte
Don't rely on the TA review count. Most strip hotels get several new TA reviews each day. Link to comment

Taiko
What are your requirements for this trip? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.I am traveling with my son, so I want to make sure of a suite sized view room with our bedding choice. The Palazzo is not showing on HW for 7/31 x 4 nights.Right now the only HW 5* center strip seems to be the Wynn or Venetian.By the time you pay for the upgrade to suite and view, it looks to be about the same to going direct to the property.Dealing direct with the property is much easier if there is a problem. Having to go thru HW to get anything changed is certainly harder.I booked the first 3 nights with Planet Hollywood (his choice) because they guaranteed me an upgraded large view room due to status. So I am looking for the other 4 nights. The Palazzo is favorite as its less noisy, huge standard rooms, and allows the use of all Venetian facilities as well. Link to comment
thereuare
I believe the standard rooms at the Wynnn are oversized and not 'standard' at all, but if you want a Suite, then you should probably book direct or thru some non-opaque source. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Taiko
Just to conclude this request.I ended up going direct for this trip as rates are low at this time, and I needed the certainty of room type and bedding choice.I was able to do well by tweaking my dates, moving bookings around and maximizing promotions at the properties. Thanks for help.
