amiller920
Bid $35 for one night tonight (10/12) 2.5* in Somerset-Piscataway area hoping for HGI near there but Priceline rejected that one. Rebid at $43 adding 3* and Somerset-Bridewater area, hoping for Marriot Bridgewater...ended up with :) Sheraton 4 Points in Piscataway. (Sheraton Four Points tend to be rather run down in my experience). Priceline said they "upgraded me" to this property. I'll survive, it's only one night after all.Details:3*10/12/04 for one nightSomerset - Piscataway21 Kingsbridge Road Piscataway, New Jersey 08854 732-980-0400$43 + taxes and fees; Total is $55.49Still new at this. What would have been better bidding strategy? thanks Link to comment
thereuare
Thanks for the report and new hotel to add to our lists!I started to look at your bidding strategy in order to comment on it but i'm confused about one thing, if your second bid was for 3* in either Piscataway or Bridgewater, why would Priceline consider this an upgrade? As i understand it your first bid was for 2.5* in Piscataway only, but for the next bid did you start over in a new browser or did you simply add a checkmark next to Bridgewater? If you only added the checkmark, then 2.5* would have a checkmark next to it and all the other star levels above it would be checkmarked too.If you can clarify i will comment further.
