captnamo
Planning 1st time trip to NYC in Sept. After reading much on Trip Adivsor and here, looking at staying in NJ and learing public transportation! Now my struggle is, go for 4-star in Jersey City ($80+?) or, based on recent posts, Candlewood Suites ($55+?). There are a lot of good reviews on Trip Adivsor. My fear with going for Candlewood is getting stuck with a lesser 2-star hotel through priceline (location, amenities, etc). Did you luck into Candlewood or is there a strategy to increase your odds when bidding for a 2-star? Link to comment
