alessandro
Hi everyone. I have found this offer for my extended stay in Vegas (July 14-29).5* star hotel in central strip with this amenities:Casino, fitness center, pool, restaurants, business center, golf, tennis and spa.Do you think it is the Venetian? The rate is 119$ per night which I believe is very good. Do you think i should book now or wait some more? Thanks in advance for the help. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!Best guess for this one is the Wynn. While nobody can predict if rates will go up or down between now and your stay, i'd say this is a pretty good price for a 15 nite stay. Perhaps you could see prices $10 lower... but you could also see them $30-$40 higher, so there is probably a bit more risk of prices going 'substatially higher' than going 'substantially lower' (if i were to take a guess)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. alessandro
After reading some more post I was also convinced that the hotel was the Wynn and I decided to book it (I really don't like the Venetian and I didn't want to end up there). The hotel was in fact the Wynn and I am now very happy with the rate I got. Since it is the first time that I book through hotwire can I expect everything to be ok or there may be some problems?P.S. In the rush to book I forgot to use the HOTWIRE link but I made a donation with Paypal to thank you for the help. :) Link to comment
AaronJB
Congratulations on your success and thank you very much for the donation to the board, which is immensely appreciated. There should be no issues with the HOTWIRE reservation; certainly a great first HOTWIRE purchase (and especially impressive, given the length of the stay.) :)Thank you for sharing your win with the board and enjoy your stay. aladyncal
Can you tell me why you 'thought' it was the Wynn? After reviewing the 5* hotels on the list, I got the idea that several have the same ICON list... I would LIKE to get the Venetian -- is there any way to tell? I am looking at --5-star hotel in Central StripCASINO/FITNESS/POOL/RESTAURANT/BUSINESS CENTER/GOLF NEARBY/TENNIS NEARBY/SPA SERVICESThanks :) Link to comment
alessandro
If you look in the details of the hotel you can see the trip advisor ranking and the number of reviews. If you check the number of reviews on TA you can easily tell which hotel it is. Right now if it is based on 1640 reviews it is thw Wynn.Hope it helps. Link to comment
aladyncal
Thanks allot -- I use PRICELINE more than HOTWIRE and wasn't aware of that as a tool :) Link to comment

As a non Hotwire user I was considering them for my upcoming week in LV. PL is too sketchy for my needs here. Need more certainty.I checked the number of reviews against certain properties on Hotwire. They list TA review counts for some properties but not all.I wonder how accurate the count is and how often HW sweeps for a count update. The language on the HW site is a bit vague.'Last reviewed May 09' etc. I am trying to identify the Palazzo, Venetian or the MGM Signature. The only 5* Central Strip property currently on HW for my dates has 1820 reviews. Could this be the Venetian?5-star hotel in Central StripThis hotel features the following amenities:Casino (accessible from the lobby)Fitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet AccessGolf NearbyTennis Spa Services Link to comment
