bidonthis
Was shooting for a 2.5*, but ended up with the 3* Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria. Very nice hotel, but after having to pay for parking, phone calls, and other expenses, would've preferred a 2.5* (which seem to usually include, parking, continental breakfast, local phone calls, etc.). Now here's a question for all of you... Why is it that so-called full-service hotels make you pay extra for many of their services when budget hotels include them?Anyway, here's what we got (after being rejected at $50.00 in Springfield, VA)...Check-In Date: Fri, Sep 24, 2004 Check-In Time: After 03:00 PM Check-Out Date: Sat, Sep 25, 2004 Your Offer Price: $60.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Plus $16.00/nt parking and $0.99/phone call. thereuare
Thanks for the report! Can you please clarify whether this zone is Alexandrai-Mt. Vernon or Alexandria-Pentagon?Here is a discussion which touches the subject of the lower star rated hotels having more free amenities than the higher rated hotels that nickel-and-dime customers: Hotel Wi-Fi Internet. gleff
There's plenty of free street parking around this hotel.I'd be shocked if it was listed as Alexandria-Pentagon, it should pretty clearly be in Alexandria-Mt. Vernon based on Priceline's area maps and descriptions. Link to comment
bidonthis
Yep, it was in Alexendria-Mt Vernon. Street parking would've been a good alternative, but we were driving through with a van full of stuff and didn't want to take any more risks than necessary. Link to comment
