Priceline Hotel: 4* NYC (Times Square-Theatre District) Crowne Plaza Times Square

I started bidding a couple days ago for December 5-11, went up to $ 145 and always got rejected. I had almost all areas in manhattan.

Then i read the thread about splitting the dates and checked hotwire for good rates. Instead of checking in on December 5 i tried December 6 and Hotwire offered a 4* in the times square district for $ 142. Therefore i started at priceline for a 4* in the time square area at $ 100, but used December 6 as the check in date. As recommended i added more areas (first those with no 4* hotels) and ended up getting the Crowne Plaza for $ 124.

Now i am really looking forwar to the trip and would like to thank this board for the great information offered!

Congratulations on your win and thank you for sharing your results with the board. December is generally a rather busy time for NYC, so this looks like a fantastic deal for a 4* in Times Square (also a great deal this far in advance, too.)

Uh, the regular rate on the hotel website for these dates is $371 and change. Quite a discount! :)

If you look up 12/5-11, the rate jumps to $575 a night.
