A check of the boards shows me that the Santa Clara Hilton 4* is the only hotel that comes up for that area, which is good for me---that's where I stayed last year.Booking directly with the hotel, I can get a convention-goers' discount of $99/night.I tried Priceline today (October 5). I began bidding at $43 and went up by increments of $3 until I ran out of rebids, topping out at $61 after 6 tries. I noticed that someone got this hotel in the spring of 2004 for $55. Should I try again in 72 hours and begin bidding at $62? Or should I wait until the date gets closer and start low again?Thanks,Kim Link to comment
