sdduuuude
I usually use HOTWIRE because I can use Better Bidding to tell me what hotel I am going to get.The hotwire rate for the Sheraton Waikiki was $115/night and I was happy with that. However, I saw the two winning priceline bids of $99 for the Sheraton and decided to try PRICELINE. The big risk was getting the resort-rated Hayatt, which I don't like it because it is across the street from the beach, not on the beach. So, I only bid for half the trip.Anyway, I simply bid $99 for a Resort property in the Waikiki Beach area for Aug. 2 - Aug. 6.The Sheraton Waikiki accepted the offer and I used the "extend stay" to change the reservation to July 29 - Aug. 6.Total of $920 for 8 nights, after taxes and fees. This saved me $16 x 8 = $128 over Hotwire.
