kcdoran
Started bidding 2 weeks ago and started low at $70...wishful thinking. Then yesterday offered $120 and got the "1 time option" to increase bid by $22 = $142 ( a little high for my taste) to receive a winning bid. I decided take a chance and decline and just up my bid to $125 and was accepted!! Very excited to have got the Marriott at such a good price...The days of winning for $85 during a holiday week are no longer so I consider this a great deal for 4th of July week.... We love the Marriott and the Westin. I was concerned that if I accepted the one time bid of $142 I would get the Hilton which we really did not care for. (I based this on other winning bids of $140's that got the Hilton) Terrible parking, pool far from the beach..one pro is the rooms had a small kitchen. Link to comment
