My wife and I will be staying in Chicago September 19-22.

The HOTWIRE link on this site shows a 3.5 star hotel in Magnificent Mile/Streeterville area with the following amenities for $109 a night

Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness Center, Business, Laundry Facility, and High Speed Internet Access

What would be your best guess as to which property this is?

Thanks for any help.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

I would wait for AaronJB to add his own thoughts as he knows this area best and i'm sure will reply once he sees this thread. While this property has not yet been reported to the board, i'm going to guess the Amalfi is a good possiblity (although i would wait for AaronJB since this property does not offer a Landry machine for guest guess, as the icon above indicates, but it wouldn't be the first time i saw a hotel get this one wrong and think they can use the icon when they offer pickup/delivery laundry service)

Okay-Thanks. I will wait to see what Aaron says. Nice site here that you have built up.

Just a thought-I noticed the extensive lists of links on your site but I don't know if that list included any of the VRBO Sites I have used to book Condos/Villas/Townhouses over the years. If you do not currrently have any links for them maybe it would be an area to look at for further expansion of sponsors?

HOTWIRE shows a Tripadvisor rating for this property of 4.5/5.0 based upon 280+ reviews... this is not consistent with either the Dana or the Embassy Suites, but is consistent with the Amalfi, so that would be my best guess.

Okay-Thanks again. If I book this I will post the details on it and of course use the links you provide on your site. And even if I don't I will use the links on this site to book whatever we end up choosing.

BTW-We go to Chicago twice a year to see a specialist for my Wifes Headaches and the Doctor is a graduate of Michigan.

My apologies if this is the wrong portion of the forum to ask this question. I had inquired earlier about a posible match on a 3.5 star in Chicago for 9/19-9/22 but decided to not book that trip at this time. I have found a deal on Orbitz for the Seneca Hotel in Chicago for a King Suite for 123.04 with free breakfast on those same dates and am wanting to book that deal instead. I thought you had an Orbitz link on this site and I of course wanted to use it to book the hotel but I can't find one. Do you have an Orbitz link and if so can you please include it and any Orbitz Discount code you might have along with it in your response.

Thanks-DDBINC.

I didn't see the star rating initially, but that would indicate the Amalfi's the likely possibility in this case. That would certainly be a fantastic result, and a very rare sighting of that hotel on HOTWIRE. Great location in River North, as well.

Thanks Aaron. I have decided to not book that deal. Thanks for your responses.

The Seneca isn't a particularly nice property - it's well-located, but it's a very basic apartment/hotel property. Sutton Place would be a far nicer property for $23 more on Orbitz for these dates, if you want to book a regular rate hotel.

deal0hotel is a coupon code for 10% off on Orbitz.

Is the reason why you are not going with HOTWIRE because you are looking for a refundable reservation? If so, you may want to take a look at HOTWIRE again closer to your dates.

Please use the site's HOTWIRE or Orbitz.com link to start your purchase.

The reason I am not booking what appears to be the Amalfi deal on Hotwire is primarily that my wife really likes a bigger room. The Seneca deal is a King Suite and includes a Kitchen which allows us to save money on food while we are there. While the property is not super nice we have found it to be adequate in the past. Assuming I go ahead and book the Seneca I will of course use the link for Orbitz you provided. Thanks for the discount code and for your very prompt attention to this message.

A must nearby is Fox and Obel Market (fox-obel.com), which is a gourmet market/cafe about two blocks E of the hotel at Illinois and McClurg - wonderful breakfast/lunch/dinner and the gourmet market is fun to browse around.

Thank you for posting your win and using the board's HOTWIRE link!

Enjoy your stay.
