The first property has not yet been identified. The Wave has previously been reported with these amenities, but at the 2.5* level, a guess would be that this property has been upgraded and that might be what you're seeing above. No evidence of this... just speculation.

The second 3* property matches the Chesterfield so that would be my best guess.

I didn't trust the condo offer. I tried to priceline all beach areas up to $130 and was unsucessful. All reviews for the three stars at a reasonable price on Hotwire were shady. Trip for relaxation not partying. I ended up pricelining 4* Hyatt DT for $60. Good deal and we'll cab it from SB. I will post on other page too. Thanks for help.

I have been trying to get a four star in Miami for a week. Checked the forum for South Beach, Miami Beach and Downtown. I have tried up to $130 for the beaches and $110 for downtown. I have seen good deals for the Hyatt. Day before trip I tried one last time and first bid of $60 hit. Guess they were holding out till last minute just like me.

Congratulations on your success!

While you couldn't get a 'nice' hotel in South Beach within your budget, i think this property represents a much better value. It doesn't have the 'scene' of South Beach (and you stated that was the purpose of this trip) but it is a very nice hotel and for half the price of a South Beach property hopefully you can make it work well for your needs.
