Spent three nights here Thurs-Sun. The wait at check-in was over 30 minutes long; of course, we never saw a long line at the desk ever again. Once we made it to the desk clerk, things were fast and efficient.

The room was fabulous. When we walked in, they had the bar light on, and the TV was set to a "mood" channel which was showing Italian street scenes and softly playing Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. The screen was programmed to welcome us by name, but they had the wrong name. Oh well. We had a double king suite; suite in this case means a good sized hotel room with a huge bath. Definitely not a suite in the basic sense of the word. Anyway, the room was over the top "just enough". Lots of shiny crown molding, velvet and organza drapes, marble, and lots of filleted frames. Even the TV screens had frames. Most of the lights were dimmable, even in the bathroom. There's a fridge, but no room for your own stuff--just the overpriced hotel bar goodies. There's a robobar on the dresser filled with snacks. If you pick something off the tray, you will automatically be charged. Stay away. No coffeepot (we brought our own), but I understand they will supply one for $5 day. Oh, and there's a daily $7.84 "resort fee."

The bathroom was huge and separated from the bedroom with an obscured glass door. There was a whirlpool tub, double sinks, a smaller flat-screen with remote so you could watch tv while bathing, a small vanity and makeup mirror. And they had a REAL hair dryer--standard sized, not one of those Barbie-sized numbers. The toilet was separated with an obscured glass door, and a phone mounted right over the toilet paper. Beautiful walk-in shower with seat and double shower heads.

The rooms on this floor (10th) didn't adjoin, but were paired and set off the hallway. A door opened from the hallway into a small foyer, and there were two rooms off the foyer. If you booked two rooms, you could close and lock the main door onto the hallway and run from room to room in privacy.

I thought this was a deal at $94 a night. The whole hotel has been recently remodelled and we loved it. Lots of (pricey) food choices and close to the convention center.
