OzGrant
While checking in I was advised that there was a $5 surcharge due to staying only one night. (never have come across this before)Didn't argue with the front desk as it was 1am in the morning when I arrived. The Breakfast more then made up for the extra amount. (the kids will love the breakfast room) Link to comment
AaronJB
I've never heard of that, either, but glad you still had a good stay. Link to comment
thereuare
While checking in I was advised that there was a $5 surcharge due to staying only one night. (never have come across this before)Didn't argue with the front desk as it was 1am in the morning when I arrived.I would have told them that i wasn't staying any nites since it was already check-out day :)I would call the hotel, speak to the manger, and ask if this is policy as i wouldn't be surprised if it was a nite clerk adding $5 to his hourly wage (not accusing, but it wouldn't surprise me)... and if it is policy, i would contact HOTWIRE and let them know about it. If this was a 'resort' fee it would be a different story (not that i'm a fan of those either), but a one nite surchage should already be included in your HOTWIRE purchase, imo.If you do pursue either of the above let us know the results. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
