dawg4life
Looking to book a week in vegas for a weekend in May, has to be close to the strip, can be 4 or 5 stars, willing to pay 30 or so a night extra for 5 starswhat should I do?I would like the wynn, encore, palms, etc, nothing like the flamingo or something like that.I went on hotwire and saw $81 per night for a 4 star at 'near strip south' (is that walking distance when drunk? hehe), it's got casino, fitness center, restaurants, business center, internet, golf nearby and got a 4.5/5 on trip advisors. mtnfox
Sounds like South Point Hotel/Casino - not really walking distance - it's a trek away from everything. It's even south of the airport.*edit: I just checked the distance from South Point to Mandalay Bay, which is technically the start of the "casino" strip, (although it's really kind of far from everything too) - it's about 6 miles. They might have a shuttle, but I'm not sure. Link to comment

thereuare
Do you see any 5* properties offered on HOTWIRE within your budget for any of your possible date combintations? If you search HOTWIRE for the 5 weekends in May are there any 5* hotels offered close to your budget for any of the weekend dates? What about 4*... anything close? (NOTE: when searching HOTWIRE and checking rates we're only looking at the 4* and 5* South Strip and Central Strip properties)Thanks for using our PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your purchases. dawg4life
Yah when I searched for the weekend of 5/15 I found a 5 star on central strip for $167 a night, it has resort, suite, casino, fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, internet. which property is this? And would PRICELINE get me better rates? thanks and I definitely plan to use your links when I confirm! thereuare
What are the actual dates you searched for? I just did a HOTWIRE search for 5/15-5/17 and any 5* offering is significantly more than $165/nite.Were those the correct dates or did you entend beyond Sunday nite? (or begin before Friday nite)PRICELINE is usually a little cheaper than HOTWIRE, but then you also run the 'risk' of the Trump International, which is in the Strip zone but not directly on the strip and doesn't have a casino... if this property is acceptable to you then there's no issue, but many going to Vegas want to be directly on the strip and/or have a casino at the property. Thanks for using our PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links. dawg4life
My dates just changed to June 5-7th, I looked on Hotwire, there's a 5 star in central strip, tripadvisor 4.0/5, amenities include casino, fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, golf nearby, tennis nearby and spa services, it's 155 a night, which hotel is this? If it's the Wynn would it be possible to get lower rates using your priceline site?thanks Link to comment
thereuare
The above is a match for the Wynn so that would be our best guess. The problem with bidding on PRICELINE is that you may can receive any 5* hotel in the zone... and many try to avoid the Trump International since it's slightly off-strip, charges a Resort fee, and doesn't have a casino (if these things don't bother you then it's not an issue, but most prefer to be directly on the strip and have a casino at the hotel they're staying at)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and/or how it goes or if we can be of further help. dawg4life
so trump is in the same zone as wynn?i do care about all these things you mentioned so I would like to avoid trump, how do i get hotels on the same level as wynn (encore, venetian, bellagio, etc) on PRICELINE for cheaper than HOTWIRE prices? thanks Link to comment
thereuare
You either decide you are willing to accept the possibility of the Trump and use PRICELINE or pay a little more in order in order to avoid a property you don't want and use HOTWIRE.Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
