Priceline Hotel: Resort San Juan (Rio Grande-Humacao) Wyndham Rio Mar

Thanks to BB I got the Wyndham Rio Mar for $121. I tried first with a $99 bid that was rejected but then was prompted to offer $22 more. I did, since Hotwire had 4* for $135. Not sure if that's the way to go when offered the "one time chance", but I went ahead with it. The other place I was looking at was the El Conquistador, but couldn't get a rate less than $250. I figure with the extra money, we can rent a car.

Hi there - I'm doing a similar bid. Were you including only Resort, only 4*, or both? I just bid for a 4* there and was hoping to get Gran Melia, because I saw it was the only "4*" listed, but they're asking me to bid up $22 too (from $100)...

Thanks. I"ll keep it in mind next time. I really only wanted the Rio Mar or El Con, and I didn't want to wait it out, so this price is fine. I did try raising it up by half, but was told I had to raise it by $22. I also used the PRICELINE link.
