mtsublueraider
Moderator, if you feel you need to bump this threat to my other thread please feel free...I found out that I'll get to spend another night in Las Vegas over the 4th of July weekend. I am already going to be there June 30-July 4th. We are staying in Venetian and in Wynn thanks to this message board. But, now that I need to get another room for the night of the 4th I need some help. I'm thinking that since we're on the strip this whole time it would be nice to venture out. Does anyone have any opinion or thoughts on the outlying areas?I think my order would be this...West- Red Rocks (What zone is this in anyway?)Henderson/Lake Las Vegas- Lowes Lake Las VegasSummerlin/NW- JW Marriott ResortOr am I missing out by not really trying to be on the strip for the 4th of july night. fireworks anywhere? I'd appriciate any suggestions and I'll bid accordingly. THANKS! Link to comment
mtsublueraider
Tried a few bids to feel it out...$75 for JW Marriottzone - Failed$75 for Lake Las Vegas- offered counter offer to increase by $22. $97 for night at Loews Lake Las Vegas 4-star. Sounds like a good deal considering the rate is around $159 anywhere else. Thoughts? Link to comment
bbbb
It all depends on if you want to use casinos on this night ? I have stayed at Loews many times when it was a Hyatt, it is in the middle of no where and only has a small casino accross the lake from it. It is a nice place but not as nice as Venetian and Wynn, witch would be my choices. Link to comment
mtsublueraider
I'm sure we'll be DONE with casino's by then. We'll be at the Venetian and Wynn for the 4 nights leading up to it. Looking for a nice relaxing evening by the pool for our final night. Link to comment
mtsublueraider
Nice to report a win!Yes we used the PRICELINE link for better bidding.Used the re-bid zone for Nellis (because I had already placed a bid earlier in the day) and selected 4* with Henderson/Lake Las Vegas. My original bid was $75 and they offered a counter for $22 more. I decided to try $86 and it was accepted at the Loews Lake Las Vegas.July 4-5.Thanks! Link to comment
