I am headed to San Diego for three nights April 12th - 15th. I am usually an avide HOTWIRE girl but as we don't absolutely care which hotel I thought Priceline might offer a lower cost. We want a four star hotel in the downtown area. We will pay up to $90 -but would prefer to pay less of course -can pay $94 on Hotwire for a four star in the Harbor Island area. It looked to me as if there are not 4 star hotels in lots of the areas so we could get the Harbor area and some re-bids.

If I have left anything out let me know!

Thank you! Followed to the letter and got my hit at $88 a night- SheratonSan Diego Hotel and Marina. Rather than starting another thread can you change my title to reflect this?

I was a little nervous about this one....but basically pleased with the result though I noticed they have a very expensive rate for parking a car.

I used your PRICELINE link.

Congratulations on your success!

Thank you for sharing your results with board. Very nice price for these dates.

Parking is expensive in major cities. You would more than likely encounter a similar parking price at any of the downtown San Diego properties.

Thank you also for using the PRICELINE link - doing so is greatly appreciated.

Enjoy your stay.

I of course should have thought before expressing my thoughts about that- I am fighting a bad cold today and grumpy lol. We got a fabulous deal.

I love this place- and I am hoping to be a worthy student- I was proud at seeing that San Diego would be a good Priceline candidate with its few 4 star areas. ALso I saw some great reviews about the hotel and will call ahead and request the newer tower.

Bless you for having this board.

Now to look for the following two nights in LA!
