sadielady
Thanks for your help.I read a bit yesterday and looked at other posts. I bid last night. And won!!!! :) Hyatt Grand New YorkRoom Cost (avg. per room, per night): $110.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 2 Number of Nights: 4 Room Subtotal: $880.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $179.60 (USD) Total Room Cost: $1059.60 (USD) First bid...$110 per night was accepted. Who knows might have gotten it even cheaper if I had gotten the advice sooner. Oh well. Hopefully the hotel works out. It seems to be a great location next to Grand Central Station. Any tips for this area. Must dos???Thanks again. Link to comment
thereuare
If you let us know what type of things you like we may be able to offer some suggestions. My reco for most in this area is to give Ess-A-Bagel a try for breakfast, a short walk from this hotel (on Third Ave at 51st St) and had one of the best bagels in the city... makes for an inexpensive breakfast among local NYers. If you like burgers Jackson Hotel is excellent (although the seating is uncomfortable and the service can be hit or miss) and makes for an inexpensive lunch/dinner (the burgers are HUGE)... on Third Ave at 35th St.If the weather is nice take the A or C train to High St (first stop in Brooklyn) then walk towards the water for lunch at Grimaldi's Pizza under the Brooklyn Bridge (expect a LONG LINE... so try to go at an 'off' hour or when they first open), then walk it off by walking back to Manhattan on the Brooklyn Bridge, taking in the Manhattan Skyline as your approach. Thanks for sharing your results with the board. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay.
