farmerjeff
new to your board. I always use PRICELINE but this time i dont want to gamble (trump) and am leaning towards HOTWIRE. looks like a match for the Wynn is listed on hotwire (5* central strip w/casino, pool, fitness, restaurant, tennis, spa, golf, business). tried priceline up to $120 with no success. hotwire showed $144 for a match for the wynn 3 days ago. checked again last night and the same 5* central strip (same amenities) is now down to $132? i would like to book but am wondering if the price may actually go down further the closer i get to my trip (about 2 weeks away)? vegas seems odd compared to everywhere else i have booked (through priceline) so i thought i might ask before i make the committment! thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! We look forward to hearing about, and helping with, your future PRICELINE and HOTWIRE purchases.Nobody can say if prices will go down... or up... between now and your stay. Current prices are based upon current occupancy levels, expected reservations to come in between now and your stay, and expected cancellations between now and your stay. If the hotel receives more bookings than expected and/or fewer cancelations tne rates will likely rise... if the hotels received fewer bookings and/or more cancellations then expected then rates could potenitally drop (there is a certain point at which point it doesn't pay for the hotel to lower prices further)For a further discussion see the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ.I'll also add that the $144 to $132 rate change is not likely indicative of a change in demand, but more likely simple fluctuations in HOTWIRE's offering price... they use a variable mark-up in their pricing model and it's not ucommon to see a $5-$15 price change from one search to the next. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help.
