Priceline Hotel: Should I split bidding for Weekend and Weekday nights?

I am a huge fan of splitting hotel nights as long as you aren't picky. I have a trip set for Las Vegas this summer where I got the Venetian for $90 a night for Tues-Friday. But, if I added the weekend it skyrocketed to $149 a night on hotwire. NO THANKS. And, to be honest most won't mind staying some on the strip then getting away from it to explore. For the weekend we'll be staying away from the strip at the Loews on Lake Las Vegas. If you're on a tight budget I think it's the way to go!
