Chrissy NY
I used to live in Boston suburb, and I've used PRICELINE a lot for booking hotels in Boston. To be honest, I thought my bid would be rejected, so I didn't think too much before bidding. And I was impatient, not checking the hotel list before bidding.I was used to Hilton Back Bay and Park Plaza being 3*, so when I was bidding $50 for 3*,I was expecting Hilton/Park Plaza or a reject. Then, tada, the bid was accepted for Courtyard (Tremont St). The published rate is $159, so I guess I got a good deal.Never been there, never really heard about it, so I am kind of concerned though... Link to comment
thereuare
Congratualtions on your win!I don't know much about this property but $50 certainly seems like a very good deal for a 3* hotel in Boston. You should always take a quick scan of the hotel lists to see if there have been any reported rating changes. In this particular situation PRICELINE did a major restructuring of their rating system 3-4 months ago, eliminating the Boutique class, and adding a new 3.5* category. In this process many 3* hotels were upgraded to 3.5* properties and some 2.5* properties were upgraded to 3* (many/most of the Courtyards went from 2.5* to 3*)Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay.
