Priceline Hotel: Priceline's Counter-Offers

When Priceline rejects your offer, but provides a counter offer, is this usually the lowest price you can expect to get? For the weekend of 3/27-3/29 Priceline has counter offered me $133 for 4* in strip north and $180/night for 5* strip south. Both these offers are higher than I'd like to go, but wondering if it's realistic to get much lower? (I've bid up to $72 and $120 respectively).

When Priceline rejects your offer, but provides a counter offer, is this usually the lowest price you can expect to get?

A general answer is no, it's not the lowest price. But the hard part to answer is how much it takes to bag the hotel. Sometimes it only takes a few $ when you have gotten a counter. And sometimes it takes 50%+ of the counter offer to get the hotel. There is no easy answer to this question.

When I was bidding on Vegas, I got a ? counter and I didn't hit when adding 75% from the counter. Sometimes it takes what the counter offer says. And weekends are more expensive in LV and sometimes a difficult city to master since prices are like rollercoasters.

The good news is that you have plenty of re-bidd zones (post if you need help with this) to use in Vegas. You have gotten a $60 counter offer on both your 4* and 5* bids. So I would say work your way up to to your maximum using your zones in smaller steps since you have plenty of time. But be aware that the offer can go away any time.
