We learned this by boarding the plane and looking for the (missing) seats. The flight attendant simply says "you can wait to see if any seats are available in back but if there are there won't be any together because this flight is sold-out" My jaw about dropped. No "sorry" or "let me check with customer service" or even a free drink.My wife and I are both premier on UA...in fact I am very close to premier exec.Another rant...my home airport (LAS) only has TED. TED does not have business or first class. I'll probably never be able to use any upgrades. And it stinks to have to take an all economy flight after hours of transit from BUD or BKK. Why would I even buy business class on UA for an international flight since I am stuck with TED?Also, TED and UA EXPRESS are very far apart at ORD. I will not be flying UA again if I have to transit to UA EXPRESS because of the distance.UA deserves to be bankrupt. I guess AA will be getting our business from now on. Link to comment
