Welcome to BetterBidding!

There is a 55K person convention (two actually, one 30K and one 25K) near the beginning of your stay and a 100K person convention near the end of your stay.

What is your maximum bid for this stay? What is the best rate you're able to find thru conventional booking channels? (try our Las Vegas Checker to assist in your search)

Well I guess that explains why the rates are higher and the Hard Rock is sold out for that time.

on LV checker I found;

monte carlo 175 first night then 115 each additional night

MGM 170 first night then 140

Treasure Island 179 then 159

Luxor 160 then 99.99

New York New York 140 each night

Mandalay Bay 210 then 150, then 170

I found a coupon code for Mandalay Bay that averaged out to $119 per night

So $119 would be the max bid I would like to pay. And will go through either HOTWIRE or PRICELINE.

This is my first trip to Las Vegas I don't really mind where I stay, I just want it to be on or very close to the strip, decent, safe. I am in my upper 20's and looking to have fun. I would like a great place for a first timer.

Thanks for your help.

You may like Mandalay Bay (please use our link if you do) as it's a 'young' crowd... however it's also far south on the strip and not the most convenient for "casino hopping" if you intend to explore the casinos.

I do think you have a chance at the 5* Trump for under $119/nite, and this would be higher rated than the Mandalay Bay... but the downside is that it's not located directly on the strip and there is no casino, so you may lose some of that "vegas experience".

HOTWIRE has what appears to be the Treasure Island for $119/nite, as well as Caesars for $138/nite, and for a first time visitor i think i would take either of these over the above two simply based upon location... you'll be able to walk out the door and be in a main part of the strip with a lot of different casinos and hotels at your disposal.

Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. (or our Mandalay Bay link if you go that route)

Let us know your thoughts and/or what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help.
