Pelle31
Post-stay update:For the second consecutive summer, I booked The Tremont Hotel through Hotwire. The hotel lacks most major ammenities but the price is outstanding and the area is beyond comparison. I would stay here again without question but know in advance that you get few extras. In fact, a stack of Wall Street Journals left at a table near the elevator entrance of each floor and morning coffee in the lobby of the hotel are all I can recall. Last year, there was free pastry, fruit, etc. for morning consumption but that is apparently discontinued. The TV channel selection is subpar; I would guess about a dozen channels are available, but there is a Sony CD/radio shelf system that booms. The hotel is a few steps from Michigan Ave. and State Street and the beautiful lakefront is a brief walk, too. The staff here is professional and helpful. Link to comment
