grahamreaper
Okay, based on teh amenities this hotel is probably the Atlantis, it's $65 a night for 8-21 and 8-23. On the Atlantis website they have several rooms available, the motorlodge, and then some tower rooms. Now, I don't want to stay in the motorlodge, not when for the same two nights the total would 131 from their website. The cheapest tower room would be 169. Does anyone have any idea what room types would be available, I am hoping that I would achieve some sort of savings from the hotels own website, but I am not comfortable with placing this order when there is the possibility of getting a room in their motorlodge section.Any help would be greatly appreciated. BEAV
Here's a link to a thread that is buried a few pages back. It should answer your question to your satisfaction!Atlantis Reno Link to comment
grahamreaper
Thank you, about a half hour after posting I found that thread as well. Good to know. I am about to book it now, but I wanted to re-check here as the hotel does not show as a customer favorite, but none of them do now. Has hotwire changed their system? Link to comment
thereuare
Actually it appears that the Peppermill has been upgraded to a 4* so that's a real possibility as well!Customer Favorite designations have been known to change i believe that the Atlantis is still listed as a Customer Favorite. My guess is that the non-Customer Favorite you are looking at is more likely the Peppermill. GCM
We stayed at the Atlantis on 7/3 and got a tower room. I called the Atlantis a few days before check in to request a tower room, non smoking, king bed and thats what they gave us. I should've asked for a high floor since the room we got had a view of the air conditiong unit :) Link to comment
BEAV
Currently, Hotwire is displaying a Customer Favorite for a two night consecutive stay, check in Aug 21, check out Aug 23. (Atlantis?)But if you're booking two separate one-night stays (Aug 21, Aug 23) as your original post indicates, Hotwire is not displaying Customer Favorite for either of those two nights. (Peppermill?)Can you clarify your actual dates of stay? Link to comment
grahamreaper
It was the Atlantis, but it was a different hotel when I finally went to buy it so we won't know what the hotel with the high speed internet icon is for now. Here are the detailsCheck-in 8-21Check out 8-234* Hotel $69 a night plus tax.Amenities as shown on pop-up boxCasino, Airport Shuttle, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Business Center, Golf Nearby, Spa Services, Tennis Nearby. Was on the 7th floor, nice view facing down Virginia St. towards the other group of Casinos (Circus Circus, Silver Legacy et al.). King, non-smoking. Very nice for a weekend getaway. The all you can eat sushi bar on the non-smoking sky terrace is very nice, and you can play your slots and not have to smell the cigarettes. Important for people like us from Cali where smoking is a rarity. Thanks for the help. I love your site, it makes my wife much more comfortable with booking through hotwire. Now to see if I can get the nerve to try Priceline. Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your win... hope Reno was just as profitable.I don't see any reference to a Hi-Speed Internet icon except in your last post... could you clarify what you were refering to?Based upon BEAV's comments above maybe the Peppermill was showing for the individual nite (not a Customer Favorite) while the Atlantis was showing for the consecutive nites (Customer Favroite). Thanks for the follow-up!PS- if/when you're ready to give Priceline a shot let us know and we'll be happy to walk you throught it step-by-step Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
