Carlp22
I started bidding higher than I normally would, hoping to bypass the Sheraton hotel. Something seemed to work!Used your link to PRICELINE. Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your success!Glad to hear you were successful able to avoid the property you were hoping not to receive. However, this approach usually isn't recommend since you could have just as easily still received the Sheraton and overbid for it.When you're trying to target, or avoid, a particular hotel in a zone HOTWIRE can often be a good option. Taking a quick look at HOTWIRE for your dates above shows a 4* in the zone, a Boutiqe property so we know it's not the Sheraton, for $89... so you could have made a purchase for just about the same amount and be assured of not receiving the Sheraton. All is well that ends well and you're happy with the results which ultimately is what counts :)Thank you for sharing your results with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay. Carlp22
Thanks for that tip. I knew my "logic" was flawed! I'll take a look at HOTWIRE. Link to comment
intrigued007
I stayed at this hotel for Super Bowl weekend. Great nice hotel but beware of MANDATORY $35 parking charge per day Link to comment
thereuare
intrigued007,If you won this property on PRICELINE or HOTWIRE please share the details of your purchase by posting to the board as a NEW TOPIC.I assume the parking charge is only if you bring a car, correct? You could have parked at a nearby or alternate non-hotel affiliate garage for less, right? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
