slick_gd
It looks like you may be missing a few amenities. To see the full list click 'continue' on the hotel from the search results page, and then directly underneath the icons click 'see all amenities'. The icons are limited to 8 but there can often times be more, especially with all-inclusive resorts. Please note if there is a tripadvisor traveler rating as well. Link to comment
db72
It's the Privilege Aluxes. It was originally classified as a 5* and I had it booked but was just notified by HOTWIRE that they've now classified Privilege Aluxes as a 3.5*. Link to comment
mykel67
Does Hotwire give a reason for the downgrade? I was considering booking this resort because it's brand new and such a great deal, but there's a big difference between a 5-star rating and a 3.5 star rating. How could it be downgraded when it hasn't even opened yet? Link to comment
thereuare
I can only speculate, but it's very possible that they're going thru a 'soft opening' and not all amenities are open and/or continuing to train the staff in a hands on environment. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. jmglick
My wife and I ended up making reservations for the Privilege Aluxes on Isla Mujeres through GTA Hotels.com. We paid a total of $396 for three nights, March 23-26, 2009, but we did not book the all inclusive. We only get breakfast. I'm told there are many inexpensive places to eat close to the hotel, which has just opened recently. Link to comment
