Looks like it's a little ways out from the city (Penasquitos), but good if you're a golfer. 105.60 was a promotional fare. One night, 4 Sept, Labor Day weekend. San Diego must be all booked up with tourists for the long weekend.

Seems like you'll be moving around a lot over labor day weekend? Was your original plad for day trips in each area or did you have a tough time bidding a complete stay in one area?

Is this DoubleTree in the Rancho Bernardo zone?

I have been bidding for 9/4 for a few weeks up to $84 with no luck.The people that are getting rooms are for 3-4 day stays at the Manchester Grand Hyatt for $84.

I think before its over the Hyatt will release rooms for one night stays at the Hyatt for $69-$85.

Going out west and had planned on moving around a bit. The plan is to hit Disneyland (2 nites at Hyatt), a wedding in Santa Monica (Doubletree) , then friends in San Diego (Doubletree). San Diego was the only tough location to bid. Concur with bbbb, would have preferred the Hyatt, but didn't feel like waiting.

Just stayed there last night. What a great hotel! Huge rooms, 2 pools, golf course....

Enjoyed our stay very much.
