kmd
Hi, I am trying to book a hotel from the 12/28-12/31. HOTWIRE has a good deal for a 5* for 96$ a night in the Central strip area. can you please help me to narrow down which hotel this is. Also I would like to know if I can take 3 people and just say two people when I book the room. How easy is it to pull this off?The amenities are the following.5-star hotel in Central StripThis hotel features the following amenities:CasinoFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterGolf NearbyTennis NearbySpa Services Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! The above is a match for the Wynn so that would be our best guess. If you book for double occupancy when you'll actually be triple occupancy, i think the bigger risk than 'pulling it off' is getting a room with only one bed. The hotel only has to supply you a room which accomodates double occupancy, after that it's their option. Another user recently won the Wynn thru HOTWIRE and called up afterwards to request two beds in the room and was told it would be noted on the reservation but not guaranteed (this is standard procedure) but the clerk also commented that it usually shouldn't be an issue since they typically sell out of King bed rooms first (as opposed to two bedded rooms). However, this is a risk that you'll have to be willing to accept, as well as the risk of 'getting caught' with triple occupancy, at which point an additional charge could apply. Although in Vegas i would consider this risk fairly low since there is always so much going on in the lobby... just have one or two people actually go up to the desk during check-in instead of all three of you. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. MurtleCake
The only hotel I've ever had 2 bed issues was with The Venitian, as the double bed rooms are quite a bit more a night. My best advice would be just send the other 2 members of your party to wander around while you check in, then it should be fine. Link to comment
kmd
Thank you for your help. It was indeed the Wynn that I got. The stay was really good, the only downside was being pretty far from most of main strip Casinos. I had no problems with the stay and was able to accommodate two other family members in the room.
