NV Lake Tahoe Hyatt Regency

I just got back from the resort and I'm happy to say that it was great!

The outside of the hotel isn't much to look at compared to it's surroundings, but once you step into the lobby it's beautiful and cozy. The renovations are nice and the rooms themselves are comfortable and Tahoe-y but not over the top (AC is a bit loud). The resort has a great location by the lake (although note that the actual hotel tower is across the street from the lake front. The resort beach, restaurant and lake front suites are by the lake). The location is the best part of the hotel. It has great views of the lake from the tower, try to get a room on the upper floors. Along the rim of the lake are public access beaches that look well taken care of. There are nicely maintained walk paths everywhere. You do have access to the resorts private beach that has nice cabanas for shade.

The Lone Eagle restaurant was also good, if not pricey. I would recommend if anything to just get drinks/appetizers and sit outside in front of the firepits and enjoy the sunset and the crisp night air. They even provide blamkets and wind screens on some of the patio chairs. I only wish we had more time to explore the whole resort. We never got to the pool.

I can also recommend the Mountain Rose (I belive that was what it was called....) golf course. It looked like it was straight of a golf video game.

I'm going to try and go again either Labor Day weekend or Thanksgiving. Hopefully for the same great hotwire rate. The people who got the $112 priceline rate got a steal. I would definitely recommend more than one night in Tahoe!
