Hankshanker
I was messing around on HOTWIRE last night and came across this suspiciously low rate for the last weekend before Christmas, $82 per night for a 3.5-star. In Manhattan? Really? Won the Hudson and the total after taxes and fees was $295 for all three nights.Immediately after I booked, the price went up to $84 (Midtown Central with fitness, restaurant, business and hi-speed Internet). Today it's $184.The Hudson's website is offering their basic rooms for $279 per night for these dates.Did somebody screw up? Are we getting the broom closet? Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your success!Historically rates do typcially drop a bit from ~12/15 until New Years Eve, but $82 sounds remarkably low, and given the current price it sounds as if somebody may have forgotten to enter the '1' in front of it when loading rates.Thank you for sharing your results with the board. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay. Hankshanker
Yeah, I sat and wondered about that missing digit, but not for long! Also, considering the size of the rooms at the Hudson, it should be a rather swanky broom closet indeed. Link to comment
