Hello...I am looking for advice on getting the best possible deal on a bachelor party trip I got talked into. I am a late addition to the trip and am looking to find the cheapest 4* place to stay on Friday Nov. 14th through Nov 16th. I have a reservation at the luxor for $140 and want to find something much cheaper if at all possible. Any advice on where to start my bidding will be much appreciated.

Thanks you!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

It's not clear from your post... are you looking for a room for everyone in the group OR are you only looking for a room for yourself, and the rest of the group is staying at Luxor (and you're willing to stay elsewhere)

If the latter, how much would you need to save in order to stay at a different property than the rest of the group?

If you bid the South Strip zone the Westin becomes a possibility... given this is slightly off-strip and in the northern part of the South Strip zone, and the Luxor is at the southern part of the South Strip zone, would this be an acceptable property?

I do see the Monte Carlo available for $119 which i like better than the Luxor, but there is construction going on next to the Monte Carlo and not sure if it's worth a $20 savings to be apart from the rest of your group.

At the 4* level you have two re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. (NOTE: Summerlin is NOT one of your re-bid zones)

(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)

Start with our link to PRICELINE

Select 4* South Strip...

Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $90, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINE

Select 4* South Strip and re-bid zone2...

Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $100

Any questions feel free to ask.

  • 7 months later...

Sorry for the late update on what ended up happening here.

After swining for the fences and missing with some really low bids we ended up staying with our orginal reservation in order to stay with our group.

However I have recomended this webpage and approach to many who have had success.

Thanks for all the help!
