Hotwire Hotel: 4* Las Vegas (near Strip East) Hard Rock

Looked at HOTWIRE for a room for one night on December 31, 2008 (checking out on January 1, 2009) for New Year's Eve and saw a 4* Near Strip East for $59. All signs based on the amenities showed that it would be the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Incredible rate for a holiday night, so I booked it and am staying at the Hard Rock for NYE!

All other rates near the strip were much more expensive. I assume this had to be an error on the part of the Hard Rock or HOTWIRE as the Hard Rock wants $399 for that night. And now, less than two hours after making my reservation, Hotwire wants $199 for a 4* in the same zone for the same amenities.

I think I got really, really lucky!

NYE falls on a Wednesday this year and with the economy the way it is, there are going to be a lot of good deals this year.

Wow, now thats what I call a deal. Hard Rock is the only hotel i stay at when I'm in vegas and at $59 thats is one hell of a bargain. Im JEALOUS! I usually pay a premium because I go in the Summer time at around $300 a night. Well have fun n rock out the new year! If your hungry, Mr. Luckys 24/7 has the best food there! Ask for the secret $7.77 steak special. Its not on the menu. :)
