this was rejected but instead of offering rebid zones etc Priceline asked us if we were prepared to bid $25 more per room per night - we agreed and won the bid at $225 per night.

Seems like a good deal from what I've seen on other winning bids. First time I've seen Priceline ask for a specific $ increase in the bid.

We followed the PRICELINE link from betterbidding each time we bid on PRICELINE.

It is called a counteroffer by PL. Often times, PL will accept less than the counteroffer amount. Many people have success at 1/2 the counteroffer or a bit less. Have fun in NYC!
