DeltaPurser
Hi Randi!I just came back from Philly, and even though I didn't end up using Priceline, I looked into it before I left. The good news is that a 4* bid for downtown will give you 7!!! free rebids. I saw accepted bids for 4* downtown hotels (Hyatt, Loews, Westin...) from $65 to over $100. A starting bid at $60 (adding $5 per free rebid) would be a good place to start I guess. Labor Day weekend could prove to be a tough nut to crack though... Best of luck!DeltaPurser :) Link to comment
thereuare
Haven't seen in awhile, but bids in the past have actually been accepted in the $40's.Given that you have so many re-bids in this zone (i count 7 of them at the 4* level) i would start even lower, but work my way up to at least $65 each bidding cycle.Bid $45, if rejected add re-bid zone and....Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone and....Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone and....Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone and....Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone and....Bid $68, if rejected add re-bid zone and....Bid $72, if rejected add re-bid zone and....Bid $75.The above may very well be too low, but with time on your side i would try to low-ball it before i got more serious.
