What is your maximum budget? (per nite before taxes and fees)

Also, i assume you'll be bidding on PRICELINE and they only have a "Disneyland" zone... HOTWIRE is the service that splits the zone between North and South.

If bidding on PRICELINE are you willing to 'risk' receiving the Crowne Plaza again, as you didn't seem to enjoy your most recent stay at that property.

I'll be using PL again I think, unless I see a really good rate on Hotwire. Although the Crowne Plaza had the smoking issue, I'm willing to give it a benefit of a doubt. I know that it was the last weekend before school starts and that everyone is trying to take a vacation w/their kids, therefore it was really crowded.

I think it'll be less crowded in Disneyland 12/8-12/14, but you never know. My bidding max is $60/nt. since I'll either have to pay for parking or a resort fee which runs $12-15/nt. When do you suggest I start bidding, in mid November or now? I think Dec. will be a slow period for Disneyland, so would $35 be too low to start?

Also, is there a way to get a room w/a fridge w/o having to rent it? Would you call up the hotel after the bid is accepted?

(Maybe it's a Disneyland thing, but neither the Hyatt or the Crowne Plaza had refrigerators as standard room amenities. You could either rent it for $25/nt. or get it for free w/a suite at the Hyatt. I've never stayed at a hotel w/o a fridge standard.)

Thanks for your help!

As always, if your plans are firm, i would begin bidding now, making sure that you don't overbid. For further discussion see the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ.

I would think that anything under $50 would be pretty good at this point in time and i would bid now using that (or whatever number you deem appropriate) as a maximum bid.

Once you're ready to bid let us know your maximum bid and we'll suggest a strategy to follow.

PS- refrigerators are not a standard amenity in a standard hotel room, with the exception being all-suite type properties. If this amenity is imporant to you, you can try to use HOTWIRE and look for an offering with a Kitchenette icon (which would imply it would have a refrigerator)

I'm just adding this because I wouldn't want someone to get frustrated and quit. I have done extensive research and also searched trip advisor for priceline wins in the Anaheim area and I have concluded the best wins are close to your dates. Like within a few weeks. The better hotels are to be had cheaper. That's not true of other areas, but it seems to be very true for Disney. The farther you bid out the more you pay and or-- you end up with the Holiday Inn (which isn't the worst thing in my opinion)
