dlnCA
Hi : I had a similar experience as this winning priceline bid for the Renaissance Lodge at Sonoma.Ist bid : 3* Napa- Sonoma (Napa) - 7/31 and 8/1 (Thurs. and Fri.) - $140. Turned down. Was offered to lock in at $220. I refused.Re-bid : Added Napa-Sonoma (Sonoma) - * level for Sonoma automatically raised to : 3 to 4* - Raised my bid to $150.Bid accepted.Napa and Sonoma are both great for a getaway, so I did not mind which one I would get. I was delighted to get this hotel at that price. The night before our arrival, I called and asked if the room was preassigned. I was told it was not and I requested a king room, if possible. When we checked in, we found out we had been upgraded to a cottage room! Those usually start at $350. Cheers! Link to comment
