Priceline Hotel: Is this a correct bidding strategy....

I am trying priceline for a 3 star (hoping for the hyatt hudson) in jersey city from July 22-July 24. I just submitted a bid for $100 which was rejected. If Elizabeth does not have any 3 star hotels I can click to add Elizabeth and resubmit a bid at a higher rate?

I just want to make sure I don't end up in Elizabeth as I have no transportation and want to be near to the PATH.

I've seen some people win this hotel for 90-100 in the same general time frame, but I'm not sure what I am going to have to bid to win it.

That's the strategy that I've been following for that same area. Elizabeth currently has no 3 star hotels, so it's a free re-bid zone.

The Hyatt on the Hudson's rates for that week are much higher, so I'm not sure if $100 will cut it. Good luck though.
