spartanmartin
Anyone have suggestions on how we can most certainly end up here and not at the Hilton? That is, without explicitly going to the Marriott site and paying the $239 a night they are currently asking for? Thanks in advance. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! You can't target a specific hotel with PRICELINE. If you're trying to target, or avoid, a specific hotel, HOTWIRE can be a viable option as you can often identify the property beforehand based upon the star rating and amenities. However, this is an "educated guess" and there are no guarantees, so if you must have a specific property than you are better off booking direct, if you are willing to take a little risk then you can see what HOTWIRE offers for the date(s) of your stay and see if we can help you identify it.If you'd like assistance let su know the date(s) of your stay and we'll take it from there. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. spartanmartin
Thanks. that's what I suspected. We are looking at July 3rd-7th. The Waikoloa Marriott does not seem to be on HOTWIRE for those dates. The only resort I see seems to be the Hilton. We HAVE to have direct beach access! Link to comment
thereuare
Do you mean Beachfront rather than Beachaccess?Have you tried searching for triple or quadruple occupancy on HOTWIRE... somtimes you can get different offerings to appear that way. (try all variations: 3adults, 2adults/2children, etc, etc) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
spartanmartin
I have tried 2 and 2...that's what we have. I MUST have direct access. From what I know the Hilton is on the ocean, but does not have its own swimming beach...you have to walk a mile, it sounds like, and that is not what we want to . The Marriott is also on the ocean, but it has its own swimming beach. Hence the desire for the Marriott. Link to comment
spartanmartin
I tried a bunch of things, but to no avail. Since we are set on the Marriott, I just had to pay their rate. thanks for the advice, though. I will be sure to use your site next time I travel and have more flexibility. Link to comment
