Priceline Hotel: advice for Aug1-4

Hi. I am looking for Chicago hotel for Aug 1-4. Location is a priority and have been told to stay on North Michigan Ave. Just wondering if you can give me an idea what I will get with Priceline: 4 star, North Michigan ave area (#5), and with Hotwire: 4* and 4.5*Magmile/Streeterville, 4* N.Michigan Ave/Water Tower.

Also, is it better to wait and book closer to my dates?

You can see the hotels previously reported to the board in the Priceline Hotel List

...and with Hotwire: 4* and 4.5*Magmile/Streeterville, 4* N.Michigan Ave/Water Tower.

Similarly there is a Hotwire Hotel List.

I would start by doing a HOTWIRE search for your date and seeing if any of the 4* or higher hotels offered for your dates are within your budget. If so, you can then try to identify them (using the hotel list linked above) and we can try to help and/or confirm the hotel(s) you're seeing.

From there you can either choose one of the HOTWIRE hotels offered or decide to try for a better deal thru PRICELINE (although you'll have a little less control over the actual hotel you receive as there won't be any way to 'guess' the hotel beforehand)

A quick look shows rates are a little high for these dates, what is your expected/maximum budget?
