Priceline Hotel: 4* Paris - bidding help

Looking for a hotel in Paris, preferably 4*. My max budget is $165usd per night. Is this reasonable?

Checkin: May 27, 2008

Checkout: June 3, 2008

(Total of 7 nights)

I wanted it to be convenient and close to Metro.

Here's what I have tried so far and I used the better bidding PRICELINE link...:

OQW - 135 --> Got counteroffer of 245. Rejected it.

St Germain - 138

OQE - 140

Bastille - 142

Batignolle - 145

Any other strategy?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

With the maximum bid in your first post listed as $165 (for a 4* hotel), are you seriously considering the above 3 star properties for $179 and $195... or is your next step to bid up to your maximum for a 4* hotel via PRICELINE and then take it from there?
