Priceline Hotel: 5* London (Mayfair-Soho) The Grosvenor House

I'm new here but I used this site to try to get some hotel stays in London yesterday. I clicked the PRICELINE link from the forum.

This bid was for a stay from 7/5-7/7 2008 and I was bidding in Mayfair-Soho. I was aiming to get the Sofitel St. James. I started my bid at $180, got a counter-offer for $256 (I think). Then I started selecting other regions that don't have any 5-star hotels so it would let me re-bid. I kept bidding up in $5 increments until it accepted a $230 bid, and I got The Grosvenor House.

I don't see any other posts about this hotel on this forum, but I'm fairly happy with the price I got as it seems to be about a 50% discount off the price for this hotel on lastminute.com.
