torrino
Hi,I am looking to go to the Isla Verde part of PR from 5/19 to 5/23. I am only interested in beachfront resorts, and would like either the El San Juan or the Intercontinental. Would PRICELINE let me bid for just Isla Verde hotels, with ratings? I do not want to get stuck with either the Hilton or the Marriott. I have never done PRICELINE before. Link to comment
mrxow
You can designate resort, but not which resort. Resorts are pretty much going to be on the beach. San Juan is one big zone, though. If there are resorts in other parts of San Juan you could end up there. These are the resorts that have been reported:Caribe Hilton El San JuanInter-Continental San Juan Marriott San Juan Resort Wyndham Condado PlazaIt appears that the Hilton and Marriott are the most common wins lately, so it doesn't look like PRICELINE is for you.Maybe HOTWIRE would work, though. thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! As mrxow points out, the San Juan zone is bigger than just the Isla Verde section of the city.Given your requirements, HOTWIRE may be a better option for this stay as HOTWIRE will let you know if the hotel is Beachfront or not (although you still need to try to ID the property because a few 'beachfront' hotels are not on the 'real' beach of Isla Verde but rather are on their own manmade beachs on a small inlet/lagoon.If you search HOTWIRE for your dates, do any hotels with a Beachfront icon appear for your dates and within your budget? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. torrino
Well...Thanks for the help! But I'd rather not take the risk (and even though Hotwire is currently offering the Intercontinental for $172 a night, this will be over $250 once we account for taxes and the extra person fee of $40 a night). Instead, we are going to book El San Juan directly thru AAA.Thanks! Link to comment
