Agoust
I'll be in Denver 7/30 - 8/4. I've already split my stay and successfully bid on the last three nights of my stay (8/1 - 8/4). That thread is here: Denver Downtown Westin Tabor Center.I'm now looking for help with the first part of my stay, 7/30 - 8/1. I'd prefer to not split my bid. To date I've unsuccessfully bid up to $95 for the remaining two nights. Should I wait a while? Ideally, I'd like to stay under $95. HOTWIRE has a few tempting hotels, including what looks like the Brown Palace at $112/night (tempting?), the Adams Mark at $75, and the Red Lion at $53 (less tempting?).Thanks in advance for your help! thereuare
I guess it depends upon how firm your budget is... given your previous rejections and the great reviews of the Brown Palace, i would be tempted as it would be worth the $20/nite to be done with this and 'ensure' a nice hotel. It also helps that $112 is a very nice discount to the hotel direct rate at the Brown Palace. With that said, other factors also need to considered: will you have time to use/enjoy the hotel, how does the location work for you, etc.To confirm your suspicion that you're seeing the Brown, what are the amenities that associated with the property you're being offered by HOTWIRE? Agoust
Hotwire's price on what I believe to be the Brown Palace is now $109. Four-star, Greater Downtown Denver. Trip Advisor customer's rating is 4.5/5 The amenities listed are:Smoke Free RoomsFitness CenterRestaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet AccessMy flight arrives early afternoon; I'll have the remainder of the day/evening free which makes this hotel quite tempting. The following day/evening are booked solid, alas.Got a Priceline strategy? Link to comment
